Spencer Call II

Spencer called tonight about 10 p.m. our time (9 p.m. his time). They are having a great time. He said they got a chance to basically run the evening service at the church tonight and that it went very well. He was very encouraged. Several of them shared their testimonies and Chris led worship with the kids helping on some of the songs and then Grant gave one of the lessons that he has been practicing for VBS. He said the church really appreciated them.

Friday was a preparation day and they finished getting everything ready. Saturday they attended a prayer service and did some shopping. Then Sunday was church and they had dinner at the home of one of the families from the church. They start VBS tomorrow.

Spencer promises to leave a post once he has a chance to get online again.

Luggage

Word from Spencer

We got a call from Spencer tonight, they made it safely to the church. They are an hour behind us time wise and I'm sure they have at least an hour more light each day. The only excitement Spencer shared with us was at the Portland airport when Randy got an extra search and Spencer was video taping Randy being searched. It seems that security screeners don't like to be video taped. Anyway, we are glad they are safely in Alaska and we hope they know we are praying for them.

Packing

Well finished packing and I have everything. . .you sure have to take a lot when your going to Alaska for 12 days. Ha. Gonna be fun hauling this stuff everywhere. Well I should head to bed, need my rest before tomorrow!

Whats happening!

So Today is Wednesday the 27th. I leave tomorrow to go to Alaska.
10 a.m. Thursday the 28th get to airport to leave on plane for Seattle.
I'm gonna miss you all!
